Post Cleanse FAQ'S

Q. What do I do if I feel really tired after the cleanse?
If during the post cleanse you are feeling tired there are often two reasons for this. One is that your body has not finished cleansing and you may be phasing too quickly back into your old levels of activity. It is also possible that you are introducing more complex foods into the body and you need to simplify your diet if you are feeling fatigued and go slowly as you introduce more complex foods.

Q. I am experiencing a lot of judgment and frustration now that the cleanse has come to an end. Why?
The cleanse improves our digestion by increasing the fire element in the digestive system. If that fire starts to move upward then it becomes anger and judgment. In these cases monitor your bowel movements and make sure there is adequate downward movement. Also consider doing meditation or a slower yoga practice to help ground the body as this will ground the heat and alleviate these fiery feelings.

Q. I have just completed the cleanse and I feel great. What is the best way to transition out of the cleanse?
After the cleanse has completed you have three options. If you are not feeling a sense of lightness and ease then you may want to continue the cleanse until your bottles of herbs are empty. If you choose not to continue the cleanse then you may want to do the elimination test diet outlined on the Resources page. After completing either or these then you can do Rejuvenation. Rejuvenation includes simple food choices with attention to more nutrient dense foods such as ancient grains, soaked nuts, wild game meats and organic cold pressed oils. Q. I am wanting to do rejuvenation after the cleanse when do I start and for how long do I do this process?
After completing the cleanse and the elimination test diet then you can begin the Rejuvenation phase. If the cleanse phase lasted for 14 days it is recommended to do Rejuvenation for the same amount of time. Continuing a simple diet focused on freshly cooked whole foods and taking tonifying herbs.

Q. What herbs are considered rejuvenating?
Any herb that is considered an adaptogen or a tonic is rejuvenating. Within the Ayurvedic pharmacopeia these include Brahmi, Shatavari, Ashwagandha, Amalaki and many others. To get the right herb for you consider setting up a consultation.

Q. I feel really sensitive to certain types of food after completing the cleanse. What can I do?
Introduce hard to digest foods that are heavy and oily or complex slowly. Try and stick to the elimination diet as long as possible as it takes 66 days to create a habit and by sticking to this diet it will become more habitual. It is normal to feel sensitive to certain foods after the cleanse and as your digestion continues to improve it will be more sturdy then before beginning the cleanse.
